I grew up as a privileged white in Apartheid South Africa so this book resonated the beliefs of people with white skin over centuries in my country. The reviews abound, it didn’t happen like that, dialect not authentic are missing the crucial message of the book. The saddest and greatest sin was depriving other humans of dignity because of the color of their skin – not always in big ways but in small tiny ones that, like insiduous cancer, crumbled away at their souls, their very beings. Take a bow Ms Stockett “The Help” is a courageous book.

I put the card in my Canon camera and it works. So far so good. 8GB seems like a sweet spot for our needs. It will hold over 1500 pictures and it looks like the write times are fast.

It was easy to order from the website; the price was excellent; and it arrived in less than a week in perfect condition.
The hard part was getting the package open that contained the disk and product key. There were no instructions on the outside of the container, and it was not intuitive as to how to open it. The plastic was indestructible. After really pulling and working at it, I discovered that the entire inside of the case swings out to reveal the disk and key code. In other words, you need to hold onto the outside of the package, and pull the top left inside corner firmly from the outside of the package.
I used the product key to unlock a pre installed trial version of the software which only took a few minutes.
I am very pleased with Amazon and the product itself.

This is my first pedometer so I can’t compare it to others but I like this one. It takes a little getting used to setting it up so it is accurate. Once you get all the inputs right it’s very accurate. It has nice useful features. It’s a bitch trying to work up to 10000 steps a day.

this game is outstanding. i haven’t played the other games from this year but i think this may be better than all of them. the rosters are very current, from january 23, 2003. For yankees fans they do not have matsui or contrerres, but with a great create a player option you can make them yourself. The franchise mode is great, with specific goals for what ever team you are. For instance if you are the yankees a goal is to win 1000 games in 10 years, but if your a worse team like the reds it is only 700 wins. For gameplay there is an excellent throw meter. This meter allows you to choose whether you want to throw harder and less accurate or softer and more accurate. The game is very realistic with errors and on throws from the outfield the option to cut off or let it go. Hitting is easy, its all timing. If you swing at a good pitch and time it perfectly then it’s outta here. There are injuries that can affect your franchise, but you can call up real minor leaugers. When running the bases you can alwasy slide by pressing A, and if you press up and A you slide head first. There is no home run derby but instead something better. You pick any two batters and choose a distance,(1 mile, 2miles) and whoever hits the ball that total distance first wins. In that mode there are also bonuses for hitting a homer, money balls that count multiply the distance by 2, but also you lose distancee for whiffing or hitting a foul ball. Also, the music in this game is fantiastic. I love it , and MVP baseball definatly has the best of any game. The graphics are very good, maybe not the best out there but still pleasing to the eye. I love this game: 5 stars. If i could i would give it 10. My opinion: best baseball game you can buy. Buy this as fast as you can if you are a die hard baseball nut like me.

My lab/whippet mix sheds constantly. Encouraged by the reviews on the Furminator, I bought one. I “furminated” her abt 4 weeks ago, and since then the hair balls that used to rumble around my wood floors is at a minimum. The outcome is definately better than I anticipated, I am thrilled to say the least.

The system was in OK condition for not what I expected for what I paid. I had to replace the wireless bar that receives the remotes commands because the wire had been cut, and for that cost I could have just paid the extra 20.00 for a new system instead of 20 less for the used one. I am not real happy about this.

Okay, so I’ll never be poet and I plan to keep my day job. Just a few more comments about the Kindle.
I received it as a gift from my husband and sister for my birthday. I probably wouldn’t have bought one for myself because I thought it was a little extravagant and I wasn’t sure how much I’d use it. But I’m totally addicted now and use it all the time.
On a recent trip I discovered how nice it is to wake up in a hotel room and read my daily newspaper on a Kindle. You can download a single copy and take it with you when you leave your hotel without a lot of bulky papers to carry around. Did you ever try to read a paper copy of a newspaper on a plane without hitting the person next to you in the nose while turning the page? I never did learn the “bus fold” or “plane fold” way of folding the paper while reading where you end up with a origami frog or something by the time you finish. The Kindle is even better than that.
