I read all the other reviews before purchasing this scale, as well as lots of other brand scales. This scale consistently received good reviews so I knew I had to have it. I have not been disappointed, it is very accurate, very easy to operate, and I love not having to mess with button cell batteries!!! The scale I had prior to this one had those and did not hold up no time, it began to show ERROR messages and no matter how many batteries I installed and they aren’t cheap, it would not function right. This EatSmart scale is awesome!! I am now looking at buying the EatSmart kitchen digital scale to weigh food and all sorts of other stuff. I feel it will be just as good as this bathroom scale.
Complexity and the Function

My old suction cup kept falling off. This “bean bag” style holder has made my GPS a pleasure to use. Love this product.

First off, let me start by saying I do 100% believe these are actual conversations with God. I don’t think he made it up to try to persuade people of anything, I do believe these are the words of God. I can’t wait to read the second one. It’s interesting for someone like me to rad q book like this becuase it gave me more of an idea what/who God is really about. I’m understanding a lot more how s/he works and operates and this along with others ( books and personal experiences) had made me 100% a believer again.

Having bought lots of so called instructional DVD’s, and being disappointed with the majority of them, I was very reluctant to buy this DVD.

Being a rock-oriented drummer, my personal influences are far more different, so I was a little bit prejudiced towards fusion type drummers, as their main strength is their technical ability, but some of them are lacking in terms of feeling, power and passion required and unable to create a “pulse” as defined by Steve himself.

Steve Smith is awesome and inspiring and he blew my mind away. One should not dare to criticise Steve Smith as a drummer because he definitely is one of the masters of drumming.

I believe that intermediate and advanced drummers can really learn from this DVD and improve themselves as a result. The information given on drumset technique is a very valuable tool and it opened my eyes on some issues even after 17 years of playing. I liked the “history of the U.S beat” part very much, especially the incredible performance with the “Vital Information”.

I was disappointed in this pedometer after reading all the good reviews. I bought it as hopefully a step-up from the one I have been using, an Accusplit Eagle 120XL. I’ve been satisfied with the Accusplit, but thought it might be nice to have something that could be placed in my pocket, was silent (no clicking), and would have distance and calorie features.

Unfortunately, after some experimentation, I’ve found that it is not nearly as accurate under most conditions as the less expensive Accusplit. If you’re walking with very deliberate steps and at a steady, moderate pace, it should be pretty accurate. But if you are walking more slowly and stopping intermittently – still with definite steps, but less forceful, the kind of walking you might experience doing housework for instance, or walking from room to room – it doesn’t seem to be too accurate. Wearing both the Omron and the Accusplit, I counted 500 steps as I moved around doing various chores. The Accusplit undercounted 5 steps. The Omron undercounted by 88!

Also, in jogging it loses a good many steps. It is more accurate if clipped on my belt than in my pocket when moving around a good bit, but is still lacking in accuracy either way. With the Omron and the Accusplit clipped to my belt, I jogged 209 steps. The Accusplit undercounted by 2, the Omron by 14.

Two other negatives – it seemed to be a little on the bulky side, especially with the clip attached; and there doesn’t seem to be anyway to reset the step counter. It resets automatically at midnight, which is a nice feature, but I would like the option to also be able to reset manually depending on what I’m measuring.

I decided to return this one and stick with the good old mechanical Accusplit. I just need something that’s more accurate at counting different kinds of walking.

I actually purchased the F5915-900 model, the only difference is that mine did not include the powered hand tool. They didn’t have the one with the handtool anywhere locally, so I purchased it without and then went online to Hoover to purchase the handtool :)

I must say that I am impressed with this machine. My mother owns a Bissell Pro Heat machine which I have borrowed and used a few times, with no complaints…until now. I was hesitant to buy this machine because I was already familiar with the Bissell machine which in my opinion is very easy to use. I feared this Hoover would be harder to use and an inferior product due to the drastic price different between the two. Recently I had scanned a consumer reports article listing the Hoover as a superior machine and the Hoover was priced 50.00 less than the lower model Bissell and I wanted the best I could get with my money. So I “settled” on the Hoover and now I realize I did not settle at all, but I made the better choice. My mom purchased her Bissell thinking that bigger price = better machine, but in this case she is 100% wrong.

No heater exists on this machine, true…but on all machines the water cools while traveling through the tubes and being sprayed, so honestly its not a big deal. The Hoover holds more clean and dirty water than the Bissell, and the machine itself is far easier to clean after use. The suction on this machine is far superior than on the Bissell which I feel leads to a much cleaner carpet in the end because the dirty water is not being left behind. I just finished cleaning my livingroom 10 minutes ago and already the floor feels dry to the touch. It seems with the Bissell you are paying more for less, and for features that are more about style than practicality. I do admit keeping the cleaning solution seperate from the clear water was nice, and not having to attach the hose when you want to use it was nice but that was about all the Bissell had going for it. I much prefer the larger tanks

It is appropriate that Amazon Display of watch shows the battery reserve rather than something useful like the digital time or day of week.

It has been a real challenge to figure out how to get the time of day and day of the week to show up in the small lcd windows at bottom of watch. (you just need to press the “A” button to cycle thru date, day of week & seconds). The day of the week starts out as a Japanese symbol – so I thought I was seeing more information on atomic signal strength.

Also had trouble with the analog hands matching the digital time – the downloaded instructions for the watch (module # 3311) to fix leaves out an instruction on bottom of page 5 which lead to more frustration. Why does it have to be so hard?

An email to Casio tech support who suggested a call to 1-800-435-7732 provided the answers. I was just about ready to give up and send it back for a refund but all is well. With a better instruction guide this could be a 5 star watch.

The book is set in Ireland for the most part and is written by an Irish author. Artemis Fowl is a twelve year old genius, who lives on an estate outside of Dublin. He has decided to replace his family’s failing wealth by stealing a Fairy’s `Book’. Artemis learns the language and customs of fairies, and develops a complicated plan to capture a fairy, Holly, in order to trade her for all the gold in the LEPrecons hostage fund. Holly is an energetic Fairy with a bit to prove since her recent catastrophe. The book is fast paced and interesting. The difference between the two worlds is intriguing. The author alternates between the viewpoint of Artemis and Holly. At one point in the middle of the book, the author’s voice pops in and introduces another character, literally. The effect was a speed bump while reading. This is a world where the different species interact; dwarf, trolls, mud people (humans) and fairies are alive and interesting. The author alluded to at least two other stories related to the characters in this book. The problem with the book is I didn’t really identify with any of the characters. There were interesting passages about Artemis and Holly, the Butler character was intriguing, and Commander Root was unique, but none of them had me cheering for them to succeed. Holly was the friendliest character, but she was not the main character. It would be interesting to have a student debate the ethics of Artemis’ plan. What was the good Artemis accomplished? Or was there any at all? The end of the book specifically states that we should not interpret Artemis’ actions regarding his mother and anything other than selfishness. Students will identify with Artemis because he is so smart, smarter than everyone around him, what kid doesn’t feel that? He gets to order around all the adults in his world as well. Artemis is a classic teenager in some ways as well; he wants his mother around, but only on his terms and doing what he wants her to do. I would recommend thi

The closest book store to us is 40 minutes away. We had made two trips in two weeks waiting for the store to get this book in. After the second trip I logged onto Amazon ordered the book and in just a few short days the book arrived. I will use this service before making another trip to the “city” for a book. My son loved the book, finished it in 3 days. He’s currently on book 3 and again can’t put them down. He has decided that once he is finished with the series, he will donate them to the school library so more kids can enjoy them. He has already loaned out this book (1st in series) to a friend to read. The mom called and thanked us as her son NEVER wanted to read before this. Wonderful Series, very happy with purchase.
