Much has been said about the extremely realistic depiction of scientific research in Experimental Heart, but frankly I expected nothing less from Jennifer “Lab Lit” Rohn. Of course it’s a thrill for a scientist reader to recognize lab politics and *feel* Andy’s frustration at running out of Taq polymerase late at night, but that is just a bonus and is not what made this a great read.
It wasn’t the correct use of experimental controls that kept me up reading at 4 A.M. and made me struggle to put the book down during a social gathering. It was the well-paced plot and the depth of the characters that pulled me in, while cliffhangers and foreshadowing seduced me to rapidly turning “just a few more” pages at odd hours.
For a few days I cared more about Andy’s experiments than about my own, so I suppose waiting until after my thesis defence to pick up the book had been a wise decision…
Experimental Heart A Novel
I am an original kindle owner and bought this for my husband. I loved it so much, I ordered the latest kindle for myself. We are now a 3 kindle family.

I bought this play mat for my grandson who is 7 months old. His mom loved the fact that it had age appropriate textures and toys. It is easily washable and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this product.

I’m not really a kid but I’m writing this review through a family members account & I don’t want their name on here.
I’ve got 5 brothers, they all say they had to read this book for school (4 had to read it in junior high, one read it in high school).
I didn’t have to read it for school but happened to come across it on a vacation & ended up reading it on the plane ride home.
This book is very good & entertaining, however, while reading it I could not think of why a school would feel that it is appropriate for kids to be reading for a report.
I would never let my kids read this book while living under my roof (yea yea, I know, you can’t stop your kids from doing stuff but in an ideal world where this was possible, I would never let them read it).
For an adult that wants to somewhat relive their childhood, give it a try.
While the character is very hateful & kind of an ass, some stuff he goes through is stuff most people go through so it may bring back a memory or two.
I liked this book for the plane ride but don’t think I’d ever want to read it again. The character was too much of an ass & I’d rather not ’see’ him again.

It is sturdy enough, although it does move slightly when the car is in motion.

This is a great steam vac, and it was pretty straightforward to assemble though I agree that the innumerable plastic parts can be a hairbreadth away of being damaged if not handled carefully. The problem was in getting the steam vac to me in the promised two day delivery. It somehow was dropped in the patio of a person whose unit number was not mine, and was left there without further validation of the error. The deliverer apparently was puzzled by the delivery slip that was printed out in such away that it clipped the last digit of my unit number and that number did not even exist in the complex, so he decided to drop it at the nearest apartment that had one of the two digits in common. To make a long story short, the
person whose patio had the steam vac sitting there all day, said that she knew of no steam vac arriving on her patio, and ostensibly took it, we think as a freebee.
The deliverer had made numerous promises to me by phone that he would have my steam vac in the course of the day, because he went back to the wrong patio location, knocked on the resident’s door and got the same denial about the steam vac ever arriving. Meanwhile I went back and forth on the phone with the mover (NOT UPS) trying to get things straight on the whereabouts of the steam vac as I had appointments to keep, and the mover had long telephone waits, and different personnel answering who did not keep track of any of my calls made before until far too late when the supervisor got into the picture. The steam vac had to be resent, and it was definitely delayed and causing too much inconvenience. After many calls to Amazon I was given a credit on the purchase of 50% but that was following many Amazon reps haggling about a way to bring the matter to resolution. They didn’t keep track of the whole soap opera along the way. So now two people in this complex have steam vacs. I wonder if the other owner will write a review about her gift or maybe she put it up on Ebay. One lesson to be learn
Tiny Love Soothing Serenade
This watch is everything that I expected and more. It is easy to set up and even easier to use. The amount of information that it records about a workout is phenomenal. Both the software that comes with the watch and the Garmin Connect web based tool allow you to see and compare different aspects of your workout such as how changing elevation effects heart rate, pretty cool. The mapping capabilities using Garmin Conect are fantastic and extremely accurate. When the watch is first turned on it quickly finds the sattelites even under trees and around builbings. I especially like the countdown alert at the end of an interval or workout which is very useful in noisy surroundings. Of course, the Amazon price was fantastic!

So far so good. I have it in my police car and since that goes faster than most cars, I can honestly say it doesn’t move off of the dash…so I’m much happier with it than the suction cup that came with the GPS and constantly falls off the window and it really is a pain when you are responding to calls and that happens.
