Works as advertised. The smaller size 4″ is more than ample for my mid-sized dogs. Both have very different types of fur, but it works effectively for both. Just need to make sure you do this outside, go slow, and be careful with “thinner” dogs or very furry ones prone to matts (one of mine is like a greyhound build) since if you’re not careful, you’ll be pulling the metal toothed edge over ribs and/or spine which your dog will not appreciate, or grabbing a matt (my other very furry critter) that can’t effectively be removed by any brush/comb.
