Love my Kindle. Easy to use and purchase books. It is easy on the eyes. I thought I may have problems but did not. No glare on screen.

Cant beat this vacuum for the price. Only had it a short time and used it 3 times…But the suction on this vacuum is great. Ideal for me because I use it and leave it on my 2nd floor instead of lugging my cannister up and down.

On the whole it is a good package. I still find Word to be sometimes an infuriating piece of S/W when you are imbedding photos into text the insertion is often anything but graceful. If you insert a photo before clicking the enter key some 20 times or so it will just overlay the photo and cover up some previously placed images — drives me nuts as it is such a stupid mistake to have made when they wrote the S/W. Yeah, I know it takes MS about ten tries before it gets things right (e.g., Vista).

(Note this, I’m under NDA, so I can’t go into details about what the CLP practicum exam exercises are like in more depth and detail.)

Hi! Today I did the CLP practicum. I had used this book for preparation. Not long ago I passed RHCE, Red Hat Certified Engineer exam, so following this book was a breeze. All the Lab Exercises felt easy, aswell as doing the two included practicums. I felt practicum exam 050-069 would be no problem. WRONG! Where should I start, exam 050-069 doesn’t exist. CLP certification is gained throug something called Practicum v.2 exam# 050-689. This is an all different beast than anything this book prepares you for. For most of the exercises you only get maybe 10% coverage in the book. The book covers something with one page, but the dept of knowledge to solve the real problem might need 10 pages. In the information here at Amazon, they say this book covers exam 050-069, that doesn’t exist. On the back of my book it says it covers exam 050-689. I would say that the only thing this book covers exam 050-689 is the cover. I get the feeling that they made the first practicum exam, and wrote the book at the same time. Scraped the first exam, but launched the book anyway. Smart thing to do Novell… NOT!

Also the plattform they are using for this test is in lack of other words.. plain stupid. You are working with servers throug java and macromedia flash. The latency is atleast 1-2 seconds. Imaging typing something, and everything is lagging 1-2 seconds. You se you misspelled something, and press the arrow a few times, just to discover that you pressed a few to many. Tab doesn’t work to “shortcut” commands and links. The resolution is 640×480, so I hope the shell is a good friend to you! Trust me, you will get super frustrated of the poor performance of the test system! One more problem for me was that I’m from sweden, used too swedish keyboard layout, but the test stipulates that you have an english layout. So I’m typing something, just to discover

Eoin Colfer took me to a place of imaginary wonder. The character of Artemis is unique, a pleasure, and a delight to learn about. The character of Butler redifines body guard. I adored the fairy storyline. Will there ever by a movie? If there is I will crap my pants.

The Help tells the story of black versus white in Mississippi in the 1960’s. The black maids, Aibileen and Minny are wonderful characters with much depth. They tell their side of the story with great emotion and honesty. Miss Skeeter befriends them in her quest for employment as a writer. She painstakingly documents the stories of the maids. She thinks by changing their names she has protected them from their employers. She hasn’t. She’s pretty stupid about alot of things in life.

Miss Skeeter and the rest of her white friends lacked any character, not just in their role in the story but as the author created them. Writing in the first person is not my favorite. Each character told the story from their own point of view for a few chapters before switching to the next character. I was too confused most of the time as to who I was listening to. The plot was difficult to follow.

Once Miss Skeeter’s book was published the impact in the town was just too confusing. And Miss Skeeter landed her dream job in New York. So she got what she wanted leaving everyone else to their own devices. I was let down with a thud.

I rate The Help as 3 out of 5 books. OK but not a have to have.

The pedometer I bought just came in the mail today. After cutting myself on the particularly brittle plastic packaging, I opened the unit, followed the instructions for putting in the battery, etc. The unit doesn’t even work at all. No display. Nothing. Total waste of money.

Water For Elephants is one of the best books I have read this year. Initially, I did not have any interest in reading this book because it involved a circus and I am not a huge fan of circuses. But at the insistence of some friends, I picked it up and began reading. Boy am I glad I did!

Jacob Jankowski is a young man who is thrust mercilessly into the aftermath of the cruelties of life. Despite his circumstances, however, he is a good and honorable man and his compassion and honor shine through on every page of this book. He is a character that reader’s immediately fall in love with and can relate to on some level or another. The story itself grabs you instantly and takes you back to a time where traveling circuses were the biggest events in town.

Set in the 1930’s, Water For Elephants offers a glimpse into a very strange and wonderous world of circus folk during a time when many, if not most, of the country was unemployed and doing anything they could to earn a buck or at least a meal. It was fascinating to read of the lifestyle of the circus workers and how they were treated, how they related to one another, how they treated their animals and what they thought of the townspeople they traveled the country to entertain.

Water For Elephants is also a story that tells of the love and life of Jacob and Merlena and their love for the animals that they come to know while working with them in the circus. The book is beautifully and vividly written, the characters well developed and easy to love (or hate as the case may be) and the animals’ antics, especially Rosie, will make you laugh out loud.

Water For Elephants is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!
